Club Libertad Norteamérica, a non for profit organization based in Virginia (Washington DC metropolitan area) was created in January 2017 under the mandate of Fernando Burmester Landauro, President of Club Libertad, main organization in Trujillo, Peru.
OBJECTIVES
To represent Club Libertad and have the Peruvian national dance, Marinera, known across North America (USA, Canada, and Mexico).
To keep Marinera's identity as our country's folklore's expression, maintaining at the same time, its tradition and essence.
To organize the Concurso Norteamericano de Marinera (Marinera Dance Competition in North America) encouraging a fair competition outside Peru. This will allow to find new talents in North America, who could be recognized in marinera competitions in Peru.
